Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Since their introduction in the mid-20th century, dental implants have revolutionized oral rehabilitation by providing reliable, functional, and esthetic solutions for tooth replacement. Over the decades, the field of oral implantology has evolved through continuous improvements in implant design, surgical techniques, and restorative approaches. Advances in the macro- and micro-design of implants, their surface modifications, and digital workflows have redefined the possibilities of treatment planning and patient outcomes.
This Special Issue of Medicina aims to present the most cutting-edge of these developments, focusing on how implant design and surgical/prosthetic techniques are being reimagined to optimize osseointegration, improve biomechanics, and enhance patient satisfaction. By bringing together evidence from both experimental and clinical research, we seek to provide a platform for the next generation of solutions in implant dentistry.
We invite authors to contribute original research articles, systematic reviews, and clinical studies that highlight innovative implant design and advanced treatment protocols. Contributions exploring digital integration, minimally invasive approaches, and novel strategies for overcoming clinical challenges are particularly welcome.
As oral implantology moves toward more individualized and predictable treatment options, this Special Issue offers an opportunity to showcase work that will shape the future of dental implant therapy.
