Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

It is a pleasure to invite you to submit manuscripts to the forthcoming Special Issue, “Innovative Techniques in accelerating orthodontic tooth movement”, to be published in Medicina.

Recently, great progress has been achieved in many dental research fields including minimally invasive orthodontic techniques for accelerating tooth movement. Surgical techniques and grafting materials are constantly evolving and orthodontists must find new minimally invasive methods to respond to the increasing demand for shorter periods of orthodontic treatment. This Special Issue aims to present and disseminate the most recent advances related to new therapeutic means for modulation of orthodontic tooth movement.

We will consider original research articles, review papers, and short communications that provide deeper insight into orthodontic application and the effectiveness of laser therapy, photobiomodulation, low-intensity pulsed ultrasound, gene therapy, local injections of biomodulators, etc. Furthermore, we encourage submissions about new therapeutic tools in the acceleration of orthodontic of orthodontic tooth movement such as minimally invasive techniques, without mucoperiosteal flap and without piezosurgery (corticision, micro-osteoperforations, etc.)
