Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) and malignancy are the two leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide, with an estimated 15 million people with CVD and 14 million people with a history of cancer. Previous studies have suggested a link between CVD and the subsequent development of lung cancer. However, empirical evidence on the association of CVDs, particularly type-specific CVDs, with lung cancer incidence and survival remains limited.

The scope of this Special Issue is to gather and present novel data regarding the association of overall and type-specific CVDs with lung cancer incidence and mortality and whether these associations vary by age at CVD diagnosis. The current and future role of radiotherapy in lung cancer will also be discussed.

We welcome original articles on basic, pre-clinical, clinical, and translational research.
