Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Multicriteria decision making and operations research are the important branches of management science and enginerring. Due to the complexity of objective things and ambiguity of human thinking, multicriteria decision making and operations research modeling and methods in various fuzzy environments have attracted wide attention and have been extensively employed to diverse engineering and scientific fields. Since Zadeh initiated the concept of fuzzy set, the fuzzy set theory has been widely used in various real-life decision making problems.
We are pleased to invite you to contribute original research articles and review articles, which will stimulate continuous research on multicriteria decision making and operations research modeling, methods and applications of various fuzzy theories to evaluate/solve decision making problems in engineering and scientific fields. Articles submitted to this special issue can also be concerned with various advanced fuzzy theories, modeling, and applications in decision making, operations research, management, artificial intelligence, environmental protection, big and small data mining, pattern recognition, information processing, medical diagnosis, faulty diagnosis, image processing, education, economics, finance and many other practical modeling and analysis, etc.
This Special Issue aims to gather a collection of articles on cutting-edge advances and developments in the fields of multiple criteria decision making and operations research.
In this Special Issue, original research articles and reviews are welcome. Research areas may include (but not limited to) the following:
Multicriteria decision making, operations research, group decision making, optimization, decision analsyis, aggregation functions, natural language processing, knowledge representation, extensions and generalizations of fuzzy sets, aggregation operations, fuzzy programming, and approximate reasoning, engineering, economics, education, medical and scientific applications.
I look forward to receiving your contributions.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Mathematics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
