Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
We are very pleased to introduce the creation of a special project entitled "New Advances and Personalized Treatment in Otolaryngology". The innovative aspects introduced by scientific advances in otolaryngology involve different aspects of the specialty. First and foremost, they involve the oncology sector, with its new diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities for head and neck cancers. Examples include immunotherapy and robotic surgery. In otolaryngology, we cannot fail to mention the emerging therapeutic developments that will perhaps pave the way for gene therapy for deafness, as well as the ever-evolving devices developed through genetic engineering for the treatment of deafness. In this regard, we recall the increasingly sophisticated improvements in cochlear implants. In rhinology, the introduction of biological therapy for sinonasal polyps has brought about a wind of change in post-surgical treatment, and modern endoscopic technologies continue to improve the surgical therapeutic options for sinonasal neoplastic diseases.
We invite you to participate in this project by contributing papers in the form of original articles, reviews, or other types. Each of you will contribute to your own topic of interest and specialization, providing the piece of the puzzle needed to obtain a current overview of the state of otolaryngology worldwide and the challenges that engineering forces, not least artificial intelligence, are posing to ENT oncology, otology, and rhinology.
We hope you have the time and, above all, the enthusiasm to be protagonists of this project together.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Journal of Personalized Medicine is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
