Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Inflammatory and oncological diseases of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract pose significant challenges in diagnosis and treatment, often requiring a multidisciplinary approach. Despite advancements in endoscopic, molecular, and imaging techniques, early detection remains difficult, and current therapeutic strategies are not universally effective. The interplay between the gut microbiome, immune system, and tumor microenvironment continues to represent an area of intense research, revealing novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets.

This Special Issue, “Novel Diagnostic and Therapeutic Opportunities in Inflammatory and Oncological Diseases in the Gastrointestinal Tract”, will highlight cutting-edge developments in non-invasive diagnostics, personalized medicine, and innovative therapeutic strategies, including targeted therapies, immunomodulation, and microbiome-based interventions. We welcome original research articles, reviews, and clinical studies that address key knowledge gaps, explore emerging technologies, and propose new approaches to disease management.

By bringing together leading experts in gastroenterology, oncology, and translational medicine, this Special Issue will foster collaboration and innovation, ultimately improving patient outcomes. We invite you to contribute and share your latest findings in this rapidly evolving field.
