Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed malignancy worldwide, and its incidence is expected to further increase in the coming decades as a consequence of population aging and modifiable risk factors. While transitioned countries are projected to face the greatest cancer burden, innovation in multidisciplinary care is urgently needed to reduce morbidity, optimize healthcare resources, and ensure equitable access to high-quality treatment.

This Special Issue of the Journal of Clinical Medicine aims to explore recent advances in breast cancer management, with particular attention to both oncological outcomes and patient-reported outcome measures. Beyond the traditional domains of diagnosis and treatment, the initiative seeks to embrace contributions from a broad range of specialties, including clinical genetics, rehabilitation, psycho-oncology, and supportive care, in order to provide a truly comprehensive vision of breast cancer care. By addressing consolidated practices as well as unmet clinical and patient-centered needs, this collection aspires to underline the importance of an integrated approach that not only treats the disease but also cares for the individual. Through this holistic perspective, the Special Issue emphasizes the role of innovation in bridging equity gaps, improving quality of life, and advancing the global standards of breast cancer care.
