Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The field of cardiovascular medicine is undergoing an era of unprecedented transformation. Rapid progress in diagnostic technologies, interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, advanced imaging and pharmacological innovation continues to redefine how valvular heart disease and heart failure are prevented, diagnosed and treated. As scientific discovery and technological advancement converge, new opportunities are emerging to improve precision, safety and long-term outcomes for patients worldwide.
This Special Issue, “Innovations in Valve and Heart Failure Disease,” seeks to showcase cutting-edge research and forward-thinking clinical perspectives that are shaping the future of cardiovascular care. We invite original research articles, comprehensive reviews, clinical translational investigations and clinically focused studies that explore novel concepts and disruptive technologies across the spectrum of heart disease.
Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, contemporary structural heart interventions, surgical and transcatheter valve repair and replacement techniques, mechanical circulatory support and evolving device-based therapies. We also welcome contributions addressing innovative heart failure management approaches, including pharmacologic breakthroughs, precision-guided therapies and multidisciplinary care models.
In addition, submissions exploring emerging data on digital health platforms, artificial intelligence, machine learning and remote monitoring are strongly encouraged. Research highlighting real-world outcomes, health systems innovation and patient-centered care is equally valuable.
By assembling high-quality, multidisciplinary contributions, this Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive overview of transformative developments in cardiovascular medicine. Together, these insights will help drive the next generation of innovation and ultimately improve cardiovascular outcomes on a global scale.
We look forward to your valuable contributions.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Journal of Clinical Medicine is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs).
