Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to contribute to an upcoming Special Issue of the Journal of Clinical Medicine entitled "Current Paradigms in Pulmonary Vascular Disease: Past, Present and Future."

This Special Issue will focus on the evolving landscape of pulmonary vascular disease with an emphasis on PE, PH, and rare pulmonary vascular disorders. Each of these areas will be explored through three thematic lenses: the past (highlighting historical perspectives and foundational work), present (reflecting current clinical practices and ongoing research), and future (featuring emerging diagnostics, novel therapeutics, and transformative technologies).

We are interested in original research, clinical and translational studies, comprehensive reviews, and expert perspectives that can advance understanding and care across the pulmonary vascular disease spectrum. Submissions may address evolving definitions of pulmonary hypertension, diagnostic challenges in complex comorbid populations, multidisciplinary care models, innovations in PE management, or rare and under-recognized vascular disorders.

Your expertise and contributions in this field would be highly valuable to this Special Issue, and we would like to consider your work for publication. The deadline for manuscript submission is March 2026.

For more details regarding the submission process, please visit the Journal of Clinical Medicine website or contact me directly.

We are willing to accept feedback on the topic and adjust it as needed.

We look forward to receiving your contributions and sharing them with the broader pulmonary vascular disease community.

Dr. Parth M. Rali
Guest Editor

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Journal of Clinical Medicine is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs).
