Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Multiple myeloma (MM) is a biologically heterogeneous plasma cell malignancy, characterized by complex clinical presentations and a rapidly evolving therapeutic landscape. Over the past decade, advances in diagnostic criteria, risk stratification, and treatment strategies—including proteasome inhibitors, immunomodulatory drugs, monoclonal antibodies, CAR-T cell therapies, and bispecific T-cell engagers—have significantly improved patient outcomes. Nevertheless, disease relapse and treatment resistance remain key clinical challenges, underscoring the need for ongoing refinement of patient care strategies.
This Special Issue of the Journal of Clinical Medicine, titled “Emerging Trends in Multiple Myeloma”, aims to spotlight recent progress and promote discussion on clinically impactful innovations. We welcome original research articles, reviews, and clinical studies addressing topics such as early diagnosis, minimal residual disease monitoring, real-world data applications, individualized treatment approaches, and supportive care. Submissions focusing on high-risk patient subsets, relapsed or refractory disease, and the influence of new therapies on quality of life and long-term outcomes are particularly encouraged.
We invite clinicians and clinical researchers to contribute to this highly relevant collection and share insights that will enhance patient-centered care in multiple myeloma.
