Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Pediatric neuromuscular disorders (NMDs) encompass a broad spectrum of inherited and acquired conditions that affect muscle function, peripheral nerves, neuromuscular junctions, and motor neurons. These conditions often present unique diagnostic and therapeutic challenges, requiring a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach to optimize patient outcomes.

This Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of the current landscape in pediatric neuromuscular care. We will highlight recent advances in clinical management and emerging therapies, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary strategies. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, physical rehabilitation, respiratory care, nutritional and gastrointestinal support, cardiac monitoring and management, and the psychosocial impact on patients and their families. We also welcome contributions addressing innovative pharmacological treatments, gene and molecular therapies, and future directions in personalized medicine.

We are seeking high-quality submissions, including original research articles, clinical studies, systematic reviews, and expert perspectives that contribute to advancing knowledge and improving care in this evolving field. This Special Issue represents an opportunity to bring together diverse expertise and foster collaboration among clinicians, researchers, and allied health professionals dedicated to improving the lives of children with neuromuscular disorders.

We warmly invite you to contribute your work and help shape this important resource.

Prof. Dr. Nicolas Deconinck
Guest Editor
