Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Pancreatic cancer remains one of the most difficult malignancies to manage, with poor survival despite advances in therapy. In recent years, the field has witnessed exciting progress in advanced endoscopic interventions and medical therapies, which are increasingly shaping both diagnosis and treatment.

This Special Issue on Current and Emerging Treatment Options in Pancreatic Cancer will highlight cutting-edge developments such as EUS-guided tissue acquisition, fine-needle ablation, endoscopic radiofrequency ablation, biliary and gastric outlet drainage using lumen-apposing metal stents, and endoscopic approaches to pancreatic cystic lesions. Equally important, we aim to capture the rapid progress in systemic therapy, including novel chemotherapy regimens, biomarker-driven targeted therapies, and immunotherapy approaches.

We also welcome contributions that explore translational research, clinical trials, and multidisciplinary care models that integrate endoscopy with oncology, and studies that evaluate cost-effectiveness, equity, and real-world implementation of these evolving therapies.

We look forward to your valuable contributions.
