Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The understanding of causes of female infertility and its treatment has changed rapidly over the last few decades as research and technology have evolved in this area. While rates of infertility continue to increase around the world as people delay starting their families until later ages, so too does the demand for fertility treatment. Infertility patients are highly engaged in successfully achieving a pregnancy and are willing to experience side effects, risks and uncertainty of novel therapies for the hope of improving their chances of success. As a result, fertility medicine is fraught with a willingness to adopt new therapies that have not yet been proven to be effective or safe, and patients have demonstrated a willingness to spend money and time on unproven interventions. In this Special Issue, we welcome authors to submit papers of novel ideas for improving female infertility diagnosis and treatment, including studies with both positive and negative findings, to help provide guidance to clinicians and patients on where to invest their time and energy to improve the chance of achieving a healthy live birth.
