Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Breast cancer remains one of the most prevalent and impactful malignancies affecting women worldwide, being a highly heterogeneous disease, with distinct molecular subtypes driving differences in prognosis and therapeutic response. Advances in genomic profiling, imaging modalities, and systemic treatment strategies—including targeted therapies, immunotherapy, and novel endocrine agents—have significantly reshaped the clinical management of early- and advanced-stage disease. However, the optimal integration of these innovations into daily practice remains a complex challenge, particularly as the role of multidisciplinary care isn becoming increasingly critical in optimizing patient outcomes.

This Special Issue aims to highlight current developments in breast cancer diagnostics and treatment, with a focus on biomarker discovery, neoadjuvant and adjuvant therapy optimization, and evolving surgical paradigms. We welcome original research and reviews on topics ranging from biomarkers to surgical approaches, radiotherapy, systemic therapies, and survivorship. Particular attention will be given to real-world data, multidisciplinary decision-making, and the implementation of perioperative systemic therapies.

Therefore, our objective is to curate a collection of high-quality manuscripts that bridge the gap between research and clinical utility, contributing to a more refined and individualized approach to breast cancer care. We warmly encourage the submission of original research and comprehensive reviews that reflect the dynamic and evolving landscape of breast oncology.
