Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Complex hand trauma remains a major therapeutic challenge that demands a multidisciplinary and patient-specific approach. This Special Issue gathers contributions from leading experts in orthopedics, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and rehabilitation, with the objective of offering a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of the most effective diagnostic, surgical, and functional strategies. The topics addressed include bone and tendon reconstruction, soft-tissue coverage, advanced microsurgical techniques, and early, individualized rehabilitation programs aimed at maximizing functional recovery and promoting patients’ reintegration into daily life and occupational activities. Particular emphasis is placed on the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, which has emerged as a cornerstone in improving clinical outcomes and enhancing quality of life for patients with severe hand injuries.
