Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The recent introduction of monoclonal antibodies for treating type 2 chronic rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps (CRSwNP) has brought renewed attention to chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) within the scientific community. The advent of agents such as dupilumab and mepolizumab has significantly transformed the management of patients with type 2 CRSwNP, a population previously considered difficult to treat with conventional medical and surgical approaches. Nonetheless, selecting the most appropriate therapeutic strategy remains a complex task, often guided by the clinician’s individual experience rather than standardized criteria. At the same time, considerable progress is still needed in the effective treatment of other forms of chronic rhinosinusitis, particularly secondary types such as Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (EGPA) and Cystic Fibrosis-related CRS.
In this Special Issue, we welcome authors to submit papers on the advances of diagnostic and therapeutic tools for both primary and secondary chronic rhinosinusitis.
