Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The field of gynecologic surgery is currently undergoing a profound transformation that is driven by the rapid evolution of technology and imaging, as well as the revolutionary integration of artificial intelligence tools.

For this Special Issue, titled "Updates in Gynecologic Surgery," we aim to curate a collection of high-quality studies that capture the current state of the art and the future trajectory of our specialty. While traditional laparoscopy and established robotic platforms remain cornerstones of practice, we are observing a surge in innovation—ranging from the application of AI and advanced imaging to the rise in vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (vNOTES) and the refinement of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols.

We welcome original research, comprehensive reviews, and clinical studies that address, but are not limited to, the following areas:

  • Emerging robotic platforms and their comparative clinical outcomes.
  • Innovations in vNOTES and single-port surgery.
  • The role of indocyanine green (ICG) and image-guided surgery in benign and oncologic procedures.
  • Updates in the surgical management of complex endometriosis and pelvic organ prolapse.
  • Advances in fertility-sparing surgical techniques.
  • Trends in perioperative care and outpatient surgical safety.

Our goal is to provide a platform for clinicians and researchers to share insights that will ultimately improve surgical precision and patient recovery. We sincerely invite you to contribute your expertise to this Special Issue.
