Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Sustainable (nano)materials with various metal complexes aim to combine green chemistry principles with advanced bio-inorganic design and application. Namely, using sustainable synthesis and ligands with various bioactivity, nowadays the researchers aim to produce (nano)materials with good bioactivity, low (or ideally non) toxicity, and specific applications. This is a fast-growing field and one that is deserving of scientific in-depth analysis. In recent years, remarkable progress has been made in modelling such materials and designing specific bioactivity. Special attention has been attributed to the role of computational chemistry and molecular modelling to achieve these aims.

The aim of the Special Issue is to contribute to the molecular studies in chemistry, molecular biology and molecular medicine. The main objective of the studies intended for the Special Issue are fundamental problems related to sustainable (green) synthesis, bioactivity of novel (medicinally significant) compounds and the application of various tools in dealing with these problems (e.g., computational chemistry), experimental or technical progress, as well as application of novel materials in various fields.

This Special Issue of the International Journal of Molecular Sciences, “Sustainable Metal Nanomaterials and Complexes: Bioactivity and Modelling,” invites high-quality original research articles and comprehensive reviews that address emerging findings regarding molecular mechanisms, procedures and strategies related to sustainable green chemistry synthesis of bio-inorganic or organic highly bioactive and medicinally significant (nano)materials. We particularly welcome submissions exploring novel compounds and approaches that may advance this field. Studies elucidating underlying mechanisms by using methods of computational chemistry are also highly encouraged.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process.
