Molecular spectroscopy is rapidly evolving from a powerful analytical approach for molecular identification into an increasingly versatile platform for investigating biological function, cellular processes, microbial interactions, and complex food matrices. This Special Issue, “Molecular Spectroscopy: Advances in Life, Health, and Food Sciences”, aims to highlight recent methodological and conceptual developments in spectroscopic technologies and their emerging applications across molecular medicine, cell biology, microbiology, and food science. Contributions addressing the molecular characterization of cells, tissues, microorganisms, extracellular vesicles, biomolecules, metabolites, and food-derived compounds are welcome, with particular emphasis on approaches capable of revealing molecular composition, structural organization, biochemical transformations, and functional states. The Special Issuewill also explore advances in spectral analysis, chemometrics, computational spectroscopy, artificial intelligence, and multimodal or multi-omics strategies that enhance molecular resolution and biological interpretation. Both fundamental studies and translational applications are encouraged, particularly those demonstrating how molecular spectroscopy can contribute to diagnostics, disease mechanisms, preventive medicine, microbial biology, food quality, authentication, and health-oriented food research.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process.
