Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce this Special Issue dedicated to environmental and physiopathological aspects of obesity across the life course. Despite substantial scientific progress and public health efforts, the prevalence of overweight, obesity, and associated comorbidities continues to rise globally. This Special Issue aims to deepen our understanding of the biological, social, environmental, and behavioral determinants of obesity, while advancing strategies to prevent complications and support healthy living for individuals with obesity.
We particularly welcome submissions that doing the following:
Illuminate how people living with obesity can maintain health and well-being across different life stages. Integrate perspectives on obesity with mental health, sedentarism/physical inactivity, COVID-19 sequelae, and technological innovations (e.g., digital health, wearables, artificial intelligence). Leverage multicenter, cross-country, and network-based collaborations to improve generalizability and translational impact.
This Special Issue will be coordinated by Dr. Braulio Henrique Magnani Branco and Prof. Pablo Valdés-Badilla as Guest Editors. We encourage original research, reviews, short communications, and methodologically rigorous reports that bridge disciplines and inform clinical practice, public health policy, and community interventions.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process.
