Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Soil health is closely linked to the yield, quality, and safety of fruits, as well as human health. In modern orchards, there are numerous problems, such as soil acidification, salinization, and pollution caused by unreasonable agricultural practices, which seriously restrict productivity. Healthy soils can enhance plant stress resistance, prevent the occurrence of diseases, and recruit beneficial rhizosphere microorganisms, which is beneficial for the growth of fruit. Understanding how to reflect the impact of soil health on fruit yield has become an important research topic in horticulture. It is well-known that the relationship between soil health and fruit yield in orchards is an interdisciplinary field of research, involving soil science, plant nutrition, microbiology, and agricultural economics. This Special Issue aims to collect new scientific findings and critical reports on strategies for optimizing soil health and fruit yield, contributing to the sustainable development of the horticulture industry.
