II International Conference on Challenges and Perspectives in Urban Water Management Systems
The II International Conference on Challenges and Perspectives in Urban Water Management Systems aims to highlight the latest innovations in urban water systems. This year, the conference is being co-organized by the CSDU and CSSI associations, together with the Università degli Studi di Trieste (UniTS), and it will be held from November 17th to 20th, 2025, in Trieste, Italy.
Following the success of the “International Short Course on Urban Drainage Systems” (18th edition) and “Giornata di Studio sul Drenaggio Urbano Sostenibile” (11th edition), the organization of a larger and more comprehensive event was proposed. It seeks to garner more participants from all over the world and cover a wide range of topics on water works, hydrology and hydraulics. This international conference is in its second edition and is part of the CSDU-CSSI DAYS 25, which provides training and outreach initiatives. It offers various opportunities for its participants, such as the following:
- Present findings and discuss the latest innovations in the field of water works, hydrology and hydraulics.
- Celebrate significant achievements, highlight European projects, and share views about future research directions in these areas.
- Promote collaborations, interact with well-known people, and take part in knowledge-sharing events organized by renowned specialists.
This conference aims to foster greater scientific discussions and networking opportunities for scientists worldwide.
Topics that will be explored include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Stormwater qualitative–quantitative experimental investigations;
- Urban hydrology and hydraulics;
- The numerical modeling of urban drainage systems;
- Water works;
- Drinking water network management;
- Nature-based solutions;
- Emerging contaminants;
- Climate change adaptation;
- Water resource optimization systems;
- Monitoring systems of hydraulic structures;
- Regulations and policies.
