The International Symposium on Energy and Meteorology (SIEME) 2025

The International Symposium on Energy and Meteorology (SIEME) will be one of the leading scientific and technological events in 2025 focused on energy transition and resilience. The first edition of SIEME, to be held in Maceió (Brazil) from August 20 to 22, 2025, will bring together experts, researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals to explore sustainable and innovative energy solutions. The event aims to foster the exchange of experiences and knowledge among the academic community, decision-makers, and financiers, strengthening collaboration to address climate challenges and support the advancement of energy transition.

SIEME 2025 is organized internationally to cover the most pressing topics, such as the integration of renewable technologies, the adaptation of energy infrastructure, and the development of policy strategies to enhance climate resilience. The symposium promises to be a milestone in the discussion of resilient and sustainable energy practices.

One of the main objectives of SIEME 2025 will be to prepare an official report with recommendations that will be submitted to COP30 in Brazil, contributing to the formulation of global energy and climate policies.

The event is expected to bring together around 500 participants and will feature a diverse program, including lectures, roundtables, scientific presentations, and mini courses.

Organized by the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences of the Federal University of Alagoas (ICAT/UFAL), in collaboration with CECA and other national and international partner institutions, the symposium will provide an excellent opportunity to cultivate partnerships and share knowledge in the fields of energy and meteorology.
