Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Focus: This Special Issue focuses on practical and innovative information security technologies and their applications across a wide range of domains. It aims to showcase recent technological advancements, novel methodologies, and real-world implementations that address both current and emerging security challenges in information systems.
Scope: The collection welcomes original research articles, case studies, and comprehensive reviews that explore the deployment of information security technologies in areas such as cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, blockchain, finance, and more. Topics may include, but are not limited to, cryptographic protocols, privacy-preserving techniques, and regulatory compliance.
Purpose: The primary purpose of this Special Issue is to bridge the gap between theoretical research and practical application in information security. By showcasing state-of-the-art solutions and their impact on real-world systems, the Special Issue seeks to foster knowledge exchange among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers, and to inspire further innovation in the field.
Relationship to Existing Literature: While the existing literature on information security is extensive, much of it focuses on theoretical models, algorithmic development, or isolated case studies. This Special Issue distinguishes itself by emphasizing the translation of security technologies into practical, scalable, and effective solutions. It aims to supplement the current body of work by providing a curated collection of studies that demonstrate how information security technologies are being adapted and integrated into operational environments. This approach not only enriches the academic discourse but also provides valuable insights for practitioners seeking to implement robust security measures in their organizations.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Electronics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
