Practical Applications of Model-Driven Engineering

Dear Colleagues,

Model-driven engineering (MDE) began as a software development methodology but has since been extended to a wide range of applications, also in the science of electronics and its applications. MDE promotes the usage of high-level and domain-specific modeling languages together with automatic transformations to improve all the activities during the development lifecycle.

This Special Issue will be a forum to share practical applications of MDE and concrete experiences in information and control systems, both in critical and non-critical domains. In this context, we are envisaging works covering one or more of the following topics:

• Systems and control engineering;
• Critical systems;
• Computer science and engineering;
• Communications & information processing;
• Bioelectronics;
• Dependability assessment;
• Security analysis;
• Automatic generation of formal models;
• Quantitative analysis;
• Practical application and experience.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Electronics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
