Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Recently, the academic and educational community has been advocating for the importance of physical education, and its role in supporting the holistic development of students. This approach acknowledges the need to address a multitude of educational objectives, including sustainability goals. Physical education has the potential to promote objectives related to individual health by encouraging healthy and active lifestyles. It can achieve these goals while encouraging environmental management and awareness of global health. This focus is complemented by the analysis of variables such as curriculum design, pedagogical strategies, teaching styles, pedagogical models, and assessment methods in physical education. Addressing the training of future physical education teachers is therefore essential. Likewise, sports activities conducted outside of the school environment are key to shaping conscious and active citizens in the face of environmental challenges.
