Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Lung cancer screening is an important tool for detecting lung cancer in its early stages, which can lead to better treatment outcomes and improved survival rates. However, screening can also lead to false-positive results, which can cause anxiety and unnecessary medical procedures.
To address these challenges, a Special Issue entitled "Challenges and Advances in Lung Cancer Screening" has been announced. This issue will explore topics such as the use of biomarkers and imaging-related screening for the early detection of lung cancer, the benefits and risks of lung cancer screening, and the identification of high-risk populations who may benefit from screening
This Special Issue will feature research articles, case presentations, and literature reviews to provide insights into medical surveillance and diagnostic and therapeutic challenges in lung cancer screening. It will also cover advances in screening methods, such as the use of biomarkers or LDCT scans, and the application of newer methods for identifying individuals who are at high risk of developing lung cancer.
