Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Recent technological developments are rapidly transforming diagnostic approaches in obstetrics and gynecology. Advances in imaging modalities, including high-resolution ultrasound and Doppler techniques, together with the increasing integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms, have opened new possibilities for early disease detection, risk prediction, and personalized patient management. Moreover, novel biomarker research and digital health technologies are providing additional opportunities to improve diagnostic accuracy and clinical decision-making in women’s health.

This Special Issue aims to present recent advances in diagnostic strategies across the spectrum of obstetrics and gynecology. Particular attention will be given to innovative imaging approaches, prenatal diagnostics, artificial intelligence-supported clinical decision systems, and emerging digital diagnostic technologies. The goal of this Special Issue is to showcase interdisciplinary research that bridges technological innovation and clinical application.

In this Special Issue, original research articles, systematic reviews, and narrative reviews are welcome. Research areas may include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Advanced ultrasound technologies in obstetrics and gynecology;
  • Prenatal and fetal diagnostic imaging;
  • Artificial intelligence and machine learning in ultrasound diagnostics;
  • Digital health tools and telemedicine in obstetrics and gynecology;
  • Biomarkers and molecular diagnostics in maternal–fetal medicine;
  • The early detection of gynecological diseases;
  • Risk prediction models in pregnancy complications;
  • Diagnostic innovations in reproductive medicine.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Diagnostics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs).
