Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a common neurodegenerative disorder that has a major impact on quality of life. Motor and non-motor symptoms are the most common characteristics of PD. Indeed, the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying various symptoms in patients with PD are still unclear. Diagnosis, treatment, and management of Parkinson’s-disease-related symptoms are still controversial. The optimal dosages of interventions are not set up yet, which is not surprising, because the Parkinson’s disease course is complicated. With this Special Issue, we would like to offer the opportunity to increase and improve evidence about PD diagnosis and management and provide original findings in basic science, translational research, and clinical medicine that will expedite our fundamental understanding and improve surgical, medical, and rehabilitative treatment of PD.

Therefore, the main goal of this Special Issue is to recruit prospective researchers that describe and share their approaches that try to tackle PD, in the forms of case series, reviews, original investigations, and opinion pieces. Research studies on a wide range of physiotherapy methods applied in PD treatment are within the scope of this Special Issue.
