Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

In this Special Issue of Diagnosis, we invite all interventional cardiologists worldwide to publish a review article, summary, original manuscript, meta-analysis, or pooled data on topics related to our evolving area of interest in coronary heart disease, pharmacology, percutaneous coronary interventions, coronary artery bypass surgery, coronary imaging, including the broad spectrum of structural heart disease, and electrophysiology.

In recent years, new technologies have emerged in our field, enhancing the results of coronary interventions and allowing us to treat more complex lesion subsets. Coronary imaging, both invasive and non-invasive, was associated with improving outcomes following PCI. Furthermore, new drugs have been associated with enhancing outcomes in acute or chronic coronary artery disease, as well as in patients with diabetes, heart failure, or an inflammatory status. Regional experiences in approaching patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) will be an area of great interest for this Special Issue. The topic of structural heart disease has been rapidly challenging new indications of TAVI in low-risk patients and younger populations, and a broad spectrum of indications, valve selection, and time of PCI in patients with concomitant coronary artery disease are now brought into question. Therefore, a large number of topics of interest are to be included in this Special Issue of Diagnosis, and we invite all interventional cardiologists worldwide to submit articles on these topics. All articles accepted for publication will be included in PubMed, PubMed Central, and other critical scientific databases
