Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Periodontal and endodontic therapies play essential roles in preserving natural dentition and maintaining long-term oral health. In both fields, continuous advances in diagnostic technologies, biomaterials, and minimally invasive techniques have significantly improved clinical outcomes and treatment predictability.
In recent years, regenerative approaches have emerged as promising strategies for restoring damaged periodontal and dental tissues. Periodontal regeneration and regenerative endodontic procedures, supported by progress in tissue engineering, stem cell biology, and biomaterial science, are expanding the therapeutic possibilities for tooth preservation and functional tissue reconstruction.
At the same time, growing insights into microbial ecology, host immune responses, and tissue healing mechanisms are contributing to a deeper understanding of disease progression and treatment outcomes. In parallel, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies is beginning to support diagnosis, risk assessment, treatment planning, and outcome prediction in both periodontology and endodontics. These developments are shaping new directions for both clinical practice and translational research.
This Special Issue will present recent advances in and emerging perspectives on periodontal and endodontic therapies. We welcome submissions that address technological innovations, regenerative strategies, microbiological approaches, AI-based approaches, and factors that contribute to improving treatment outcomes and long-term tooth preservation.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Dentistry Journal is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2000 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
