Antioxidants: Science and Technology

Dear Colleagues,

Antioxidants are chemical compounds (both natural and synthetic) that can prevent or delay some types of damage to cells and tissues. That is why they present important salutary effects on human health. Thus, it has been shown that antioxidants play an important role in preventing diseases as serious as cancer, myocardial infarction, ictus, neurodegenerative processes, and damage to the immune system.

In recent decades, a large number of studies have been carried out on them, both in terms of their properties, extraction, purification, and synthesis.

The goal of this Special Issue is to provide an advanced forum for studies related to antioxidant science and technology. It will publish research papers, reviews, and communications. Our goal is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. All researchers are invited to share their original work, reviews, or scientific interpretations in the field of antioxidants.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Compounds is an international peer-reviewed open access quarterly journal published by MDPI.

Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
