Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of contemporary approaches in orthofacial surgery, highlighting advances in surgical techniques, digital planning, and multidisciplinary management. The Special Issue will explore innovations in orthognathic procedures, including minimally invasive approaches, 3D virtual surgical planning, patient-specific instrumentation, and the integration of artificial intelligence in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Contributions will also address perioperative management, complication prevention, and long-term functional and aesthetic outcomes. Emphasis will be placed on interdisciplinary collaboration between maxillofacial surgeons, orthodontists, and other specialists to optimize patient care. Emerging trends such as outpatient surgery, enhanced recovery protocols, and personalized treatment strategies will also be discussed.
This Special Issue seeks to bridge clinical practice and research by presenting original studies, systematic reviews, and expert perspectives that reflect the evolving landscape of orthofacial surgery.
