Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue will explore how digital spaces—such as social media, gaming platforms, virtual reality, AI-driven mental health support, and telehealth/teletherapy—affect the risk of suicide, resilience, and intervention strategies among children and adolescents. The scope of this Special Issue includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:
- Social Media and Suicide Risk: The impact of online communities, cyberbullying, and exposure to self-harm content.
- Digital Resilience: Protective factors, such as positive online communities and digital mental health literacy.
- AI and Chatbots in Crisis Intervention: The role of AI-based tools in early detection and intervention.
- Teletherapy and Mobile Health (mHealth) Apps: The effectiveness of digital interventions and remote support.
- Gaming and Mental Health: The intersection between gaming behaviors, social connectivity, and suicide risk.
- Ethical and Policy Considerations: Privacy, data security, and responsible use of AI to address the mental health of the youth.
