Topical Advisory Panel Members' Collection Series: Catalytic Materials for the Production of Renewable Fuels

Dear Colleagues,

The development of effective methods for the production of renewable fuels is one of the crucial industrial challenges. It is known that the application of catalysts to this process and the use of alternative types of feedstock may contribute to improvements in the sustainability of energy production. This in turn leads to an increase in the competitiveness of renewable fuels in the energy market.

This Special Issue is devoted to the development of catalytic materials for the production of renewable fuels. It is concerned with, but not limited to, the design of new catalysts and their synthesis methods, the optimization of catalyst composition and pretreatment conditions, studies on the effect of catalyst modification, the choice of reaction conditions, research on the reaction mechanism, and the determination of the influence of feedstock or the presence of impurities. Moreover, papers that address these issues from other perspectives but are still within the broad range of research applications of the main topic fields are also encouraged.

Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Catalysts is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
