Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue focuses on recent breakthroughs in microfluidic biosensor technologies, enabling rapid, high-throughput, ultrasensitive, and on-site detection across cell and molecular biology, as well as clinical, environmental, and food safety applications. We invite contributions that demonstrate novel device architectures, advanced nanomaterials, new chemistry, efficient signal transduction mechanisms, integrated sample-to-answer workflows and AI-associated detection analysis involving innovations in biosensing and molecular measurement in computational analysis and predictive modelling. Emphasis is placed on strategies that significantly improve detection limits, reduce assay times, enable multiplexing, enhance operational simplicity and integrate AI-powered multimodal biosensing analysis. The issue aims to consolidate state-of-the-art research and foster translational pathways from laboratory innovation to practical deployment in resource-limited, point-of-care settings and AI-driven multimodal biosensing.
