We proudly announce the 5th International Conference on Optics in Materials, Energy, and Technologies 2023 (ICOMET-2023), which will take place at the National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan, from January 8 to 11 2023.
The conference (https://icomet2023.wixsite.com/icomet-2023) will not only provide a venue for in-depth scientific discussion, but also opportunities to find potential research partners, reform scientific collaborations, and initiate joint funding applications. Finally, this conference is organized by the Nature Springer journal "Light: Science and Applications" (LSA). Topics of particular interest are within the scope of materials, energy, and technologies.
In this conference, insightful studies considering innovative antimicrobial concepts are highlighted to promote the interaction mechanism studies between bacteria and materials under light integration, leading to new concepts for developing innovative antimicrobial materials.
The mechanisms found regarding bacteria–bacteria interaction and bacteria–material interaction lead to the design of new concepts in biophotonics and optics for biological and medical devices.
This Special Issue, "Bioengineering on Study and Development of Innovative Antimicrobial Concepts," will promote original research studies and comprehensive reviews to impede bacterial colonization in biophotonics and optics for biological and medical devices in Light Conference: ICOMET-2023.
