Meet Us at the 85th National Congress of the Italian Zoological Union, 8–11 September 2026, Milan, Italy

85th National Congress of the Italian Zoological Union

Location: Milan, Italy

The Congress will be held at the University of Milan and at Palazzo Schuster, in the city center. The program includes joint sessions dedicated to cross-cutting topics, alongside sessions specifically focused on zoology and protistology.

The following are the titles of the symposiums:

  • Symposium 1 – Evo-Devo: From Morphogenesis to Epigenomics;
  • Symposium 2 – Zoology at the border: multi-, inter-, trans-disciplinarity;
  • Symposium 3 – Protistology;
  • Symposium 4 – Phenotypic adaptations and interactions: from cell to behavior;
  • Symposium 5 – Environmental Impacts and Biodiversity Conservation Strategies;
  • Symposium 6 – Molecular Evolution, Phylogeny, and Taxonomy;
  • Symposium 7 – Outreach, Education, and Museology.

There will also be a round table  entitled “Digitization and barcoding of Italian biodiversity: where now, what's next?” and a workshop entitled “Invertebrate models: a real opportunity in applying the 3R principle”.
