The concept of orofacial dysfunctions and pain encompasses a wide spectrum of conditions that affect the mouth, jaw, and face. These disorders can have a significant impact on an individual’s quality of life, often presenting multifaceted challenges in terms of diagnosis and management. This Special Issue on “Advances in Orofacial Dysfunctions and Pain” aims to bring together the latest research, innovations, and insights in this field, shedding light on emerging diagnostic tools, novel interdisciplinary treatment modalities, and a bringing about a deeper understanding of the underlying mechanisms.
We invite investigators, scholars, and practitioners to submit their original research, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses for consideration. Let us endeavor together to expand our understanding of orofacial dysfunctions and pain, fostering innovation and progress in this crucial area of healthcare.

Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Applied Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
