Dear Colleagues,
Oral and maxillofacial rehabilitation is a rapidly evolving field that integrates advances in surgery, prosthodontics, implantology, digital technologies, biomaterials, and regenerative medicine to restore function and aesthetics in patients with congenital, traumatic, oncologic, and degenerative conditions. Despite significant progress, clinicians continue to face important challenges related to complex anatomical defects, soft and hard tissue reconstruction, long-term implant success, functional recovery, and patient-reported outcomes.
This Special Issue aims to provide an updated overview of current evidence and emerging approaches in oral and maxillofacial rehabilitation. Original research articles, clinical studies, systematic reviews, and well-documented case reports addressing innovative surgical techniques, digital workflows, implant rehabilitation, bone and soft tissue regeneration, prosthetic rehabilitation, virtual surgical planning, artificial intelligence applications, and multidisciplinary treatment protocols are welcome. Contributions focusing on clinical outcomes, complication management, quality of life, and translational research are also encouraged.
By bringing together multidisciplinary perspectives, this Special Issue seeks to stimulate scientific discussion and promote evidence-based strategies that improve the predictability, safety, and effectiveness of oral and maxillofacial rehabilitation.

Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Applied Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
