SPP1710 Conference: Thiol-Based Switches and Redox Regulation – from Microbes to Men

Redox signalling mechanisms and antioxidant enzymes often operate through thiol-switches which are generated as post-translational thiol-modifications in response to various redox active species to control many cellular functions. Thiol-switches are modulated by local changes of the redox environment and specific redox pathways in different organisms and cellular compartments.

In this SPP1710 conference, we gather internationally leading experts from different fields, but with a shared interest in redox biology, to discuss the latest insights into the principals of cellular redox control.
