The Faringdon Research Centre for Non-Destructive Testing and Remote Sensing at the University of West London was founded in 2018 from the initiative of Lord Faringdon, who has gathered the Lord Faringdon Trust and many other Trusts to support and facilitate research into the application of non-destructive testing, remote sensing and immersive technologies in the fields of horticulture, conservation and forestry management. The Centre’s focus expands towards the use of these technologies for the assessment, repair and maintenance of civil engineering infrastructure. The Centre develops theoretical, numerical and practical research to tackle real-world challenges and contribute to the economy, society, environment and culture development.
