Cells Reaches 1000 Articles Milestone

Cells, MDPI's open access journal of cell biology, has published more than one thousand papers since its inception in 2012. Cells is covered in the Science Citation Index Expanded in Web of Science and received its first Impact Factor of 4.829 for 2017. The journal ranks 55/190 (Q2) in 'Cell Biology' in the Journal Citation Reports.

The journal's main focus remains on cell anatomy and physiology, the structure and function of organelles, cell adhesion and motility, and the regulation of intracellular signaling, growth, differentiation, and aging.

Cells publishes original research including but not limited to the following topical areas: Cell Motility and Adhesion; Cell Signaling and Regulated Cell Death; Cell Nuclei: Function, Transport and Receptors; Autophagy; Organelle Function; Stem Cells.
