Abstract
Purpose: In this article we describe the mechanism of normal swallowing, the clinical or bedside evaluation, radiographic evaluation of swallowing disorders. The material is taken from selected references and information obtained from our experiences in the study of this area. The purpose of this article is to present this discussion in the hopes of generating a new or in some cases a continued interest in the study of this disorder.
