Abstract
This conference aimed to provide an international forum for researchers, academics, people in industry, and students to address recent research results and to present and discuss their ideas, theories, technologies, systems, tools, applications, works in progress and experiences on all theoretical and practical issues arising in telecommunications, electronics, signal processing and applications, information technologies, energy, automotive and industrial engineering.
The fourth edition of the International Conference on Communications, Information, Electronic and Energy Systems (CIEES 2023) was held in a hybrid format in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, from 23 to 25 November 2023.
The CIEES 2023 Conference was the premier international venue focused on understanding the current state and the evolution of the science through the lens of telecommunication, information technologies and artificial intelligence, power system and smart cities, energy and renewable sources, automotive and industrial engineering, smart telecommunications, industry and services, electronics, power electronics, EMC and many other disciplines. It is a place where researchers, academics, people in industry, students and the like present and discuss progress in research, development, standards, and applications from the related research fields.
The technical program of this year’s edition of the conference consists of two distinguished keynotes by world-renowned experts, who delivered the following plenary lectures:
Prof. Dr. Atanaska Bosakova-Ardenska, University of Food Technologies, Plovdiv, Bulgaria, the lecture being entitled “Recent Trends in Computer Vision for Cheese Quality Evaluation”;
Senior Researcher Hiroshi Uchigaito, Hitachi Hokkaido University Laboratory, Hitachi, Ltd., Japan, the lecture being entitled “Optimization of Power Management in Distributed Energy Systems by Considering Power Loss due to Power Conversion and Electric-Vehicle Movement”.
We prepared interesting plenary sessions, drawing not only from respected university professors and speakers from academia on visionary topics but also from our sponsor FAAC Bulgaria Ltd, Ruse, which delivered a distinguished technical presentation.
The technical program of the conference consisted of plenary sessions, as well as technical in person and online sessions for research papers. The authors of the accepted papers that were unable to attend the conference in person were given the option to present their papers online and attend an interactive virtual conference. Online presentations were held in a virtual room environment via the Zoom Meeting platform for the opening ceremony, all conference sessions, and meetings.
Finally, we are thankful to FAAC Bulgaria Ltd for becoming an official sponsor of the CIEES 2023, their excellent cooperation, and also for their technical and financial support. Additionally, we thank institutional partners, the University of Ruse “Angel Kanchev” and the University of Telecommunications and Post, Sofia—both from Bulgaria—TPC members, conference chairs, and reviewers for their wonderful efforts in making a successful and rigorous technical program. Without them, this event would have never happened.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to our esteemed Media Partner—MDPI’s Electronics journal.
