Cover Story: NSAIDs are the group of drugs most commonly used in human and veterinary medicine. They are available over the counter and are most often used to treat fever and pain. NSAIDs include chemical compounds of various structures and therapeutic uses but sharing certain common characteristics. Their widespread use obliges the quality control of substances and preparations to be increased so that they are free from contamination from the production process or from the decomposition of active or auxiliary substances. The developed procedure for the quantification of tenoxicam, meloxicam, etoricoxib, and celecoxib in pharmaceuticals by UV spectrophotometry using microplates meets the requirements for validation of analytical methods. Due to the simplicity of assay and speed of analysis, it can be helpful in quality control laboratories. View this paper
