Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The study analyzes the use of the Problem-Based Learning methodology, using the SWOT analysis, the flowchart, a questionnaire and the Ishikawa Diagram as tools for evaluation. Problems were identified and solutions proposed.

The foundation is adequate, the methodological approach complete and the results and conclusions adjusted to the objectives.

Reviewer 2 Report

Title: The analysis of the production process of the care cosmetic line using Problem Based Learning tools

This project paper reports activities done by an intern in a specific cosmetics company.

The background of the paper raises the issue that cosmetics companies have their own market and are still rocketing even during the COVID-19 pandemic; thus, proper management needs to be done to ensure the company manages well.

Somehow, issues were raised, and a project to study the process of the company flow using the problem-based learning approach was proposed.

There are four analyses done, and comments are embedded within this point.

i.               Flow chart

Should these points use the "diamond" shape, since it shows a step of decision (e.g., yes/No) as for this paper neg/positive?

example for the:

i: Quality Control of Resources;

ii. Quality control made by the technology....;

iii. Quality control of mess made by...

iv. Quality control of packages and labels

etc.

ii.             SWOT analysis

Table 2 – The line between statements can be added for easy reading.

iii.           Ishikawa Diagram

iv.            Questionnaie

the quateion

no 4, e.g., Q4. On a Company-wide basis, how would you rate the work of the 242 Quality Control Department?

and the response from the employees is yes/no? Is this the answer?

No. 6, e.g., Q6. Would improvement in other fields positively affect the Quality Control Department? 245 (Mark up to 3);

what is the meaning of "mark up to 3"?

Same as no.7

Q7. Which of the following fields has a negative impact on the work of the 246 Quality Control Department? (Mark up to 2).?

It is said that the questionnaire was given to verify a hypothesis, but no further statistical analyses were done except for the reporting number.

Suggestions

i. the author can come up with a mind map to integrate all four analyses and highlight each problem and strength of how the company can tackle the issues.

ii. In discussion, support findings from previous research could help to support the finding.

Author Response

We would like to thank you very much for your positive feedback and the work you devoted to reviewing our manuscript.

Our answers are given to the particular comments,  suggestions and are:

* Flow chart

Answer.: Thank you for pointing out our oversight . We have made corrections to the chart.

* SWOT analysis

Answer: As suggested, we have arranged the table a little differently to make it easier to read.

* Questionnaie

            Answer:  The questions  has been rephrased or additional information has been included to make them clear with full details.

 *  It is said that the questionnaire was given to verify a hypothesis, but no further statistical analyses were done except for the reporting number.

Answer: Based on the possibilities provided by the dataset at our disposal, we conducted a statistical analysis and its description was included in the manuscript.

* Suggestions

  1. the author can come up with a mind map to integrate all four analyses and highlight each problem and strength of how the company can tackle the issues.

Answer: A mind map will certainly help readers to summarize the large number and variety of aspects of the problem indicated in all of  four analyses carried out. Thank you very much for indicating such a summary. The text has been changed.

  1. In discussion, support findings from previous research could help to support the finding.

Answer: References to literature supporting the conclusions have been included.
