Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Some of these authors have published results of similar calculations earlier. Their results are very accurate. However, most experiments are carried out in vacuum, and these results might not be of much use. Moreover, no experiment might be carried out on a system like π-.  Resonances in such systems are not needed anywhere. Opacity of the sun depends on free-free transitions and photoabsorption, not on individual resonances. Usefulness of these results is very, very limited.

 There are a few comments:

1.     There is a very definitive calculation to determine the resonance parameters of the negative hydrogen ion by Y. K. Ho et al., Phys. Rev. A 15, 1423 (1977). This publication should be mentioned.

2.     What is -H-?

3.     Page 6. The When should be When.

4.     In references 8, 9, and 25, superscripts are misplaced.

Reviewer 2 Report

The authors investigated the energies and widths of the resonance states of negative hydrogenlike ions immersed in quantum plasmas using the stabilization method. The exponential-cosine-screened Coulomb potential is utilized to model the quantum plasma environments. I cannot recommend its publication in ATOMS unless the authors properly address the following issues.

1.Accurate description of the screening potential in plasmas is a challenging work. The authors should justify the appropriateness of the quantum screening potential for the negative hydrogenlike ions.

2.The figures 3-16 can be properly combined in much fewer figures. Moreover, the physics behind these figures can be discussed in more details.

3.It is helpful to the readers if the authors give the range of parameter λ which the resonance states can be existed in the quantum plasmas.

Minor amends:

4.Although the author indicated that atomic units (a.u.) are used throughout the work. In Tables and Figures, it is better to give the unit after the physical quantities. For examples, in Tables 1, 3 and 5, the unit should be given for the resonance energies. In Tables 2, 4, and 6, what unit should be given for the resonance widths.

5.The authors should carefully proofread their manuscript to avoid Typographical errors. For example, in page 5, line 168, “The When the system…” should be “When the system…”.
