Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

1. What is the novelty of the paper?

2. What are the advantages of this research in speed control of BLDC Motor?

3. Fig. 11 and Fig. 12 show the results of the research. These graphs illustrate the relationship between current and speed of BLDC Motor. Is the research related to the speed control of the BLDC Motor? Please explain the method for controlling of the BLDC motor speed.

4. If this research is related to speed control of BLDC Motor, please write "speed control" in the title.

5. Is PWM needed for switching FET Transistor in this research. What kind of PWM do the authors use in the paper?

6. What kind controller (IC controller) do the authors use in the paper?

7. The authors use star and delta connection, but the authors don't write the advantages and disadvantages these connections in conclusion.

8. What is the future work of the paper?

The idea is interesting. However, what about the reliability of the new designed motor? Any impact of switch life and switching control on component life?

The other point is the contribution of switching transients on insulation system design: shall it be rethought, considering that transient electric field stresses will occur frequently during operation?

Finally, what about harmonics on AC-supply side?

The subject of the publication is not new. The conception of changing configuration of the windings was considered a several years ago. However, the idea is interesting. Unfortunately, the implementation of the issue significantly differs from what the title of the article suggests. The publication would be very interesting if the actual windings switching during motor operation were analyzed. Unfortunately, the paper contains only a very perfunctory analysis of the various windings configurations (star, delta). There is a lack of analysis of the paper of the electronic switch itself. The authors should rethink the publication conception. I cannot recommend the paper for publication in this form.

1. Novelty of the paper low, already many papers published electronic switching for BLDC drives.

2. The paper doesn't have proper evidence to proof the experimental results.

3. Figure.10 shows experimental diagram drawn; it should be a real-time experimental setup diagram.

4. Qualities of the figures very poor, specially figure.5, 6, 7, 8, 11 & 12.

5. Discuss more about rating of the BLDC motor used.

6. Comparison results should added, how the proposed electronic switching based bldc is better compare to conventional bldc drives.

7. Show experimental results waveform like speed, torque & current through measurements not in values alone.

8. Discuss how efficiency increased in proposed system, show the evidence interms waveforms and derivations.

9. Is this method is suitable for high power applications?, if it, then what changes to be done in switching methods.

10. discuss about PWM methods used for switching the devices used in winding.

Thank you for the revision; still figure resolution not enough. Improve the figure qualities.
