Overall, this paper is judged that the contents of the review are well component.
It would be good to make a few modification:
- p. 12
“Especially, it is of a great importance for simulation of LSP, as this will be used as an input to calculate the shock wave propagation and the induced residual stress field in depth of the treated material, and hence its fatigue life that may be simulated as well.”
The sentence seems incomplete. Correction is necessary to communicate the meaning correctly.

1) This sentence p.12 was modified and rendered simpler to make our meaning easier to get.
Line346 : “Indeed, this pressure source term is of a great importance for simulation of LSP, as this will be used as an input to simulate the propagation of shock waves inside the treated sample. Furthermore, from the shock waves propagation, the induced residual stress field in depth of the treated material can also be calculated, and hence the fatigue behavior of the component may be obtained”
2) Whenever this spelling was used, it was modified from Figure to figure.

In this review, the source term of plasmas induced by laser/matter interaction in confined regime was discussed. The main mechanisms which drive the pressure generation were summarized and currently obtained experimental datas were reviewed. The analytical and numerical models were discussed.
Tables 1 and Table 2 should be in three-line grid form.
